What is a Tesla Rebill charge on Hertz? ›

Tesla Rebill Charge. This charge is the total for all EV charges at Tesla Super Stations while on rent and is added after return.

Why does it look like I was charged twice? When you extend, we collect the funds held for the previous week and authorize for the next week. This may look like two charges in your account, but only the new authorization will affect your balance.

The most important way to preserve the high voltage Battery is to LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE PLUGGED IN when you are not using it. This is particularly important if you are not planning to drive Model Y for several weeks.

The Hertz charging policy now lets you Skip the Recharge. You can return your EV at any charge level and we'll recharge it for $35—or just $25 for Gold Plus Rewards Members. Or, return it at the same level as pick-up and pay $0.

Rental Extension Charges

Hertz will charge you a $10 extended rental fee after this period. If you fail to notify them about your extension, they'll charge a late return fee of $12 per day.

The Hertz credit card authorization amount can vary, but if you're booking with a credit card, we will place an authorization amount of up to $200, and $500 for debit cards (plus any projected charges) onto your card.

Supercharging costs and fees will be billed to the Supercharging payment method you've selected in the Tesla app. If Tesla is unable to automatically bill a stored payment method, you will be billed for any idle or congestion fees incurred at your next Service Center visit.
