Mike’s Journey: A Tale of Resilience and HopeMike, who lives on a beautiful lake in Wisconsin with his wife, Lynn, and dogs Rufus and Wicki, spent the first 35 years of his life unaware that he had aortic disease. During a routine physical when he was 35, Mike’s doctors detected a heart murmur, prompting them to order an echocardiogram. The test revealed that he had a genetic defect with his aortic valve. Specifically, he had a bicuspid aortic valve which was not closing completely. Mike began undergoing annual echocardiograms.Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gW2VnT3i
